Mary Anne started her career at Filoli in September of 2017 as a Naturalist for the then newly-opened Estate Trail. After a progression of promotions, she became the Education Program Manager overseeing Filoli's Nature Education and Youth Programs. Her educational and career-related background is varied focusing upon the natural healing arts, nature explorations, and holistic health education.
Mary Anne created two academic programs at nearby Skyline College: a California State Certified Massage Therapy Program and a Wellness Program which focused upon topics such as holistic health, herbalism, aromatherapy, stress-reduction techniques, flower essences, and homeopathy. Mary Anne enjoys sharing her passion for the beauty of nature and its healing gifts. She has been a nature education docent at nearby preserves and is certified through the University of California's Naturalist Program. In her free time you are likely to find Mary Anne out on the trails hugging a tree, looking for wildflowers, newts, mushrooms, and such, or pondering the many exquisite mysteries of life!
